Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon →
A true sporting treasure will be appearing in Jersey when the Mayfair Park Hotel hosts An Evening with Phil Taylor on Friday 14 December, where the legendary 16-times World Darts Champion will share the story of an unprecedented career.
Taylor will entertain the audience in St Helier, where guests will enjoy a three course dinner and take part in a question and answer session with the legendary star.
Taylor is the UK’s most successful sportsman ever and his phenomenal success helped to catapult darts from a pub game to the international sporting spectacle it has become today.
‘The Power’ will also be showcasing his skills on the stage, allowing guests to sample the unique atmosphere of a night at the darts – widely regarded as the best night out in professional sport.
Taylor will speak about a number of interesting topics, including his remarkable success and what he really thinks of his rivals.
“I’m really looking forward to the event in Jersey,” said Taylor, who retired from the sport following January’s World Championship final.
“This is what my retirement year is all about, visiting different places and meeting new people. Jersey is a lovely place and I’m excited about the chance to go there.
I now enjoy looking back on my career, which I didn’t do during it because I was always looking to the next tournament.
“I’m can’t wait to meet the guests and share my story with them. It will be a really special evening.”
