New face in the Jersey Sport line-up

Wednesday 3 January 2018

Jersey Sport has appointed James Tilley as the organisation’s new Sports Partnership Manager.

The Royal Yachting Association’s former Racing Operations Manager replaces Nikki Holmes, who left her position at the end of 2017.

James’ role will see him working closely with local clubs and associations to develop areas such as coaching and volunteering, in particular helping them to bring in stronger levels of governance.

He will also oversee the development of the Jersey Clubmark accreditation scheme, while supporting and advising sports groups on their safeguarding policies.

“This is a really exciting appointment for us and the island’s wider sporting community,” said Jersey Sport CEO Catriona McAllister.

“Volunteers are the lifeblood of local clubs and associations, and as we work to help them bring in more members and improve their governance it’s vital we give them our support.

“James brings with him a wealth of experience and his appointment gives us a great start to 2018.”
