Jersey Sport award £87,383 of funds to local sports to help them recover from the impact of COVID-19

The second round of funding saw 13 local sports clubs and associations benefit to help them recover and reinvent delivery in response to the impact of COVID-19.

Households in Jersey are being selected at random to take part in a one-off Health, Activity and Wellbeing Survey run by the Public Health Department.

Jersey Sport today announces that James Wileman will be stepping down from his role as Head of Corporate Services at the end of May, though he will continue to act as an advisor to the organisation.

Grants for local sport to help recover from the impact of COVID-19

Sports bodies will be able to apply for a Jersey Sport COVID-19 Recovery Grant, from Wednesday 31 March, to assist with the financial difficulties they may have incurred due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Consultation held on re-connection of sport

With plans to start re-connecting adult outdoor sport from Monday 8 March, the minister, Jersey Sport and government officers held a consultation with over 100 individuals from local sports clubs.
