Massimo Furness

Community Coach

BACKGROUND: Massimo attended Victoria College where he played first team hockey, football and cricket, going on to represent Jersey in tennis, cricket and hockey. As Channel Islands champion, Massimo played in the Road to Wimbledon national tennis tournament. In 2016 he was awarded the most valuable player of the year trophy for the senior hockey league. He is currently completing a BEd in Primary Education, incorporating Qualified Teacher Status at Plymouth Marjon University, he is due to qualify in 2019.

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES: Massimo’s interest in sport dominates his spare time. At University he plays BUCS league hockey and football. Massimo is a massive Arsenal fan (Juventus if he’s with his Italian grandfather) who loves playing 5 a side football with his friends and going to festivals in the summer.
